Northwell Health - Drs. Neil Tanna, Armen Kasabian, Lyle Leipziger, Mark Smith, Adam Perry, Victor Moon
Making decisions about breast reconstructive surgery soon after being diagnosed can be a frightening and overwhelming experience for women with breast cancer. Lack of knowledge about the reconstructive options, and anticipation of the unknown can be a significant source of confusion, doubt, and anxiety for a woman diagnosed with breast cancer.
Northwell Health Plastic Surgeons will facilitate a discussion about the various breast reconstruction options and the latest techniques. In addition, patients who have undergone breast reconstruction will be available to first hand answer your questions. This will be an honest and open discussion of everything you want to know.
All forms of autologous (the woman’s own tissue) or implant-based reconstruction will be discussed. The latest techniques such as preventive mastectomy and reconstruction, nipple or areola sparing mastectomy reconstruction, form stable (gummy bear) implant reconstruction, or partial mastectomy reconstruction will all be reviewed.
Admission is FREE but seating is limited. Register by emailing JWishinsky@northwell.edu or call the Northwell Cancer Institute to reserve your space.
