Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Often the diagnosis can lead to many questions, but not a lot of answers. It can be scary and overwhelming when you do not know the correct state of the art options of therapy. That is why on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6 pm – 8:30 pm, Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia is hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Day, an educational breast cancer event.
Our goal is for this to be an interactive setting for survivors, newly diagnosed patients, or anyone whose life has been changed by breast cancer. This will be your opportunity to have a dialog with some of the region’s best breast cancer experts, all available to answer your questions. The panel is prepared to discuss a variety of subjects including diagnosis, chemotherapy, radiation, genetic counseling, breast reconstruction, supportive care, lymphedema management, survivorship care, as well as other topics.
PENN PLASTIC SURGERY invites you to a celebratory and educational event on closing the loop on breast cancer.
Join us for remarks from Joseph Serletti, MD, FACS, Chief of Penn Plastic Surgery, and the Breast Reconstruction team. The event will also feature patient stories, meet-and-greets with our clinical Survivorship team, nipple tattoo artists, a photo booth and much more!
Space is limited. Refreshments will be served.
Discounted self-parking will be available in the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine garage.
Please bring a gently used bra for donation.
